Major Specifications:
  1. Sample testing conforms to IS:2720 (Part-XV).
  2. Consolidation cell Assembly with 60mm diameter x 20mm height.
  3. Displacement sensors ±10 mm x 0.001mm.
  4. Digital display for displacement readings.
Research Potential:

The test results can be used for calculating the settlement of foundations built on clayey/fine grained soil. Following data can be obtained from the experiments are:

       (a) Sq. Root Time vs Deformation Readings and gives the value of t90.

       (b) Void Ratio vs Effective Stress.

       (c) Consolidation co-efficients viz., Cc, av, mv, Cv, Cs can be determined.

       (d) Pre-Consolidation Pressure for the Soil.
