Welcome Message From HOD

Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. The Department was established in 1990 with an intake of thirty undergraduate students and grown marvelously over the years. Since its inception, the department has made several strategic changes in the curriculum to prepare students for tomorrow's workplace challenges. Currently, the undergraduate students capacity has been boosted to 90. The department commenced M.Tech and PhD programmes in Chemical Engineering in 2006.
The course curriculums are periodically updated for introducing new and innovative technology so as to nurture a new generation of technical leaders who can offer holistic solutions to complex problems at the intersection of technology and society. B.Tech programme offered by the department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The department is well equipped with undergraduate and research laboratories which is also supported by TEQIP(World bank) and Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST) grants received from Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.
The undergraduate and postgraduate students are encouraged to work on various industry-oriented research projects. Faculty members of the department have excellent academic and research credentials with a good expertise in the diverse field of Chemical Engineering. Alumni of the department have been conferred with many prestigious awards and are serving globally in academia as well as industry. Our department looks forward to contribute in solving the technological challenges of the society with active participation.
